    Beijing Tibet Train Tour schedule

    Day 1 Leave Beijing for Lhasa                                                                               Transfer from your hotel to train station. Then take Evening train to lhasa.

    Day 2   Travel on train.

    Day 4  Lhasa Sightseeing [B+L]                                                                  Accommodation: Yak Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking                                            Today’s highlights are Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple.

    Potala Palace: The cardinal landmark of Lhasa, Potala Palace, is a structure of massive portions. Its towering image already appearing on various occasions, but your first sight of the Potala will still be an awe-inspiring moment. Potala Palace is a place where you can appreciate the Tibetan culture, religion and art of architecture as well.                                             Jokhang Temple: Jokhang Temp le is the spiritual center of Tibet. Every day, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek a long distance to the temple to pray for their now and future. The temple is the product of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques. Around the temple is the Barkhor Street, the oldest street in a very traditional city in Tibet. We can have a visit after the Jokhang visit.

    Day 5. Lhasa Sightseeing [B+L]                                                                              Today`s highlights are Tibet Museum and Sera monastery.                                             Tibet Museum: The Tibet Museum is located in the southeast corner of Norbu Lingka, Lhasa city. It covers an area of 23,508 square meters including the exhibition area of 10,451 square meters. The museum is equipped with modern facilities to ensure quality service for visitors and safety and efficient administration of the museum itself. Here exhibits are introduced in Japanese, English, Tibetan, and Chinese, in order to accommodate visitors from all over the world.                                                                                                                            Sera monastery: Sera monastery is one of the greatest Gelugpa monasteries. Around 5km north of central Lhasa, It was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Choje, one of the eight disciples of Tsongkhapa, the founder of Gelugpa Sect, covering an area of 114,964 square metres. The structure is imposing, picturesque in disorder, and splendid in green and gold. It is a typical Tibetan architecture. The Buddhism Scriptures Debating in Sera is very famous.

    Day 6. Lhasa-Shigatse [B+L]                                                                     Accommodation: Shigatse Manasavoar Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking             Today’s highlights are Yamdroktso Lake and Palkhor monastery.We will drive to Shigatse. Make a tour to Yamdroktso Lake on the way. Also, we will go for the tour of Palkhor monastery.                                                                                                       Yamdroktso Lake                   Yamdroktso Lake: Yamdroktso Lake is a coiling, many-armed body of water shaped like a scorpion. It doubles back on itself on the western side, effectively creating a large island within its reaches. For Tibetans, it is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet.                                Palkhor monastery: Palkhor monastery, built in the 15th century, is situated in the west of Gyantse Town with                                           Yamdroktso Lake                                  mountains enclosing form three sides of the east, west and north. Its uniqueness is that its three sects of Buddism-Shaja, Ningma and Guolu stayed harmoniously under one roof. We will stay in Shigatse tonight.

    Day 7.  Shigatse/Damxung [B+L]                                                              Accommodation: Damxung Golden Pearl Hotel 2* or similar class if late booking               Drive to Damxung from Shigatse city in the morning. Have a shot stop for the beautiful view of the grassland near Yangpacheng. Today’s hotel is a little simple, but it is the best available local hotel, hope you could understand that.

    Day 8.  Damxung/Namtso/Lhasa [B+L]                                                            Accommodation: Yak Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking                                         Photo enthusiast can shot sunrise at Namtso Lake. By the lake, you can view the peak of Nyianchentangula (7162m).Then have a little hiking around Namtso Lake and explore the Tashi peninsula by walking around the holy hill, the cliffs of which have eroded over the centuries. Visit Tashi Dor monastery. On the way piles of mani stones stand. If lucky, you could have a glance of the nomads in yak hair tents who have been living on the pastures between the holy Nam Tso and Nyenchentangla. In the afternoon, drives 250KM back to Lhasa.

    Day 9.  Leave Lhasa [B]                                                                                          Morning our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the train station to leave for Beijing.

    Day 10. Travel on Train

    Day 11.  Arrive in Beijing in the evening and transfer to your hotel.
